Silicon Dragon Ventures was formed in 2010 as a venture capital and entrepreneur network spanning the leading Silicon Valleys of the world.   
Through news, events, consulting and research worldwide, Silicon Dragon provides insights and a grass-roots framework to better understand and evaluate the world's innovation centers from a global perspective.
 
The 15,000-strong Silicon Dragon network includes entrepreneurs, executives of emerging companies, deal makers, venture capitalists, angel investors, investment bankers and legal, accounting and management consulting practitioners. This network encompasses a broad spectrum of tech market sectors. 
 
The group publishes Silicon Dragon News and hosts Silicon Dragon forums in China, the U.S. and Europe, supported by world-leading business services and organizations.

FOUNDER

Silicon Dragon builds upon two decades of experience covering venture capital, startups and innovation trends by author, journalist and media entrepreneur Rebecca A. Fannin.
Rebecca's two well-received books, Silicon Dragon (McGraw-Hill, 2008) and Startup Asia (John Wiley & Sons, 2011) have been translated into Chinese, Vietnamese and Arabic and were favorably reviewed by the Financial Times, the New York Times, The Economist and The Wall Street Journal.
Rebecca has appeared on CCTV, and many news channels, and has been  quoted by The New York Times, Forbes, Venture Capital Journal and China Daily. She has penned thought leadership reports for KPMG and Sony Ericsson. In 2010, she provided testimony on Capitol Hill about China's Internet.
 
A contributor to Forbes.com and a former international editor at Red Herring and the Hong Kong-based Asian Venture Capital Journal, Rebecca has developed a deep understanding of the issues and trends shaping startups and new tech frontiers. She also has written for Forbes Asia, Harvard Business Review, BBC Capital, CNBC, CEO, Inc. The Deal, Worth and Huffington Post.
