 >\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>SPEAKER BIO</strong><br />\nDavid Mahon is the Man
 aging Director and Chief Investment Officer of Mahon China Investment Mana
 gement Ltd.\, a pioneering private equity investor in China. For three dec
 ades Mahon China has advised multinationals and small/medium enterprises o
 n their China strategies. The firm has managed five funds totalling approx
 imately $300 million\, with investments made into 29 companies in sectors 
 including agriculture\, textiles\, optical instruments\, automotive parts\
 , construction equipment\, technology and telecommunication services. Maho
 n China also restructures and exits assets — stalled funds\, stressed equi
 ty investments\, or nonperforming loans to Chinese companies.</p>\n<p>Mr M
 ahon writes and publishes China Watch\, a quarterly review of China’s poli
 tical\, economic and social developments\, and the China New Zealand Repor
 t. He is also a regular commentator in the Chinese and international news 
 media. A native New Zealander\, Mahon has lived in China since 1984.</p>\n
