Silicon Heartland On The Go: Keynoting Milwaukee’s Summerfest Tech 2023

Keynote speaker Rebecca Fannin kicked off the well-attended Summerfest Tech event, held June 27-29 in the heart of Milwaukee’s old industrial section where the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino is now located.

Here are some key takeaways from the summit, summed up by fellow participant Tim Dickson of Generac Power Systems.
+   The Midwest needs to be more bold in their thinking and take some risks in these newer tech areas, even if they fail at first.  It could payoff in the long run.
+  The Midwest is no longer a Flown-Over region and now has an optimistic, re-energized opportunity, resources, and new culture for a resurgence in emerging tech areas that will most certainly improve economic and social prosperity and brand perception going forward.
